You will see Sarah, Benjamin's wife was a CHARLESWORTH. A name in which you have expressed an interest yourself. Benjamin was a nonconformist and a school teacher at Onesacre school who was evicted for not paying his rent.
Below is an extract from my notes regarding the family

.............between 1829 and 1837 Benjamin lived with his family at Onesacre, Bradfield, Ecclesfield South Yorkshire.

In 1837 Bradfield Poor Law Records (The originals of which are in the Bradfield Poor law Archive held by Bradfield Parish Council) indicate he and his family were removed for non payment of rent. As stated by the following transcription of an examination of settlement certificate:

Micklethwaite, Benjamin, on 7 Feb 1837 at Bradfield. He was a school Master aged about 53 and born in Bradfield.
His father John a Clothier was legally settled in Hunshelf by Hiring and Service with Jonas Ramsden. That Examinants father lived principally in Bradfield Parish after he was married and frequently had relief from Hunshelf. In the year 1823 examinant was elected Master of the hamlet school at Onesacre in Bradfield and occupied the School and the House and Garden but which are not worth in examinants estimation to rent £10 a year by a good deal. Examinant was removable at any time by receiving from the School trustees three month’s notice. He left the situation yesterday, after receiving three months notice. Examinant ?? did any let to gain a settlement in his own right along with his wife and five children (see below) is now poor and chargeable to Bradfield (SE) Ref 60-438.

A Removal order for Benjamin, Sarah his wife and their five children Sarah Ann (13), Matilda (8), Eliza (5), Joel (2) and Hannah (6 mos) from Bradfield to Hunshelf (R) Ref; 60-437, was signed by H. S. Parker & Stuart Corbett, but it was not carried out and the case went to the Midsummer Quarter Sessions at Rotherham on 4 Jul 1837, where Stuart Corbett, Doctor of Divinity, John Fullerton, Esquire, and B. Dixon, Deputy Clerk of the peace signed the order.

Hunshelf was ordered to pay to Bradfield £4:9s:6d: being damages sustained in maintaining the party pending the said order of removal (R) Ref:60-44.

I have been unable to locate the family on the 1841 census - the entries on the probable piece were too feint and in 1851 bizarrely the head of the family is given as one of the daughters. Benjamin and Sarah are nowhere to be found. I have also been unable to locate an entry in the St Caths index for their deaths. I wonder what happened to them?

Hope this is of interest to you.
