Charles Ernest JONES (son of Charles Edward William JONES and Florence Edith

He lost his life aged 18 (in 1918) on HMS Lady Cory Wright, sunk by German
U-boat 12 miles off Lizard, Cornwall - mentioned on memorial in Plymouth

Joe TRAVIS in his band uniform presumably of Stocksbridge Works
Band. I don't have a date for it but I would guess 1930s or 40s. He died in 1955
aged 83. The original is hand colored.

STOCKSBRIDGE OLD PRIZE BAND The one that won the junior cup in
1921.
"I scanned it from a 1947 Fox
Magazine so it is a little grainy. I believe that the gentleman with the
fine moustache in the middle is my grandfather Joe TRAVIS. I wonder if anyone
can name anyone on the photo."
